Aramis Hops:

aramis hops

The Aramis hop is a French aromatic variety. It was developed in 2002 by the hop research program of the Comptoir Agricole in Alsace. Aramis is a cross between the French hop Strisselspalt and the English variety Whitbread Golding.

If the alpha acid rate of the Aramis hop allows it to be used as a bittering hop, it is rather at the end of boiling, whirlpool, or Dry Hop that it will reveal its full potential. Its aromatic profile presents soft spicy flavors, citrus notes, and a slight herbal side.

This hop is mainly used on saison beers, bière de garde, lagers, Blonde ale, Triple, White and many others. In summary, it is a typically European and versatile hop.
