Although it is often identified as Polish hops, the Lubelski hops is an aromatic variety originating from Zatec, in the Czech Republic. It is sometimes marketed under the name Lublin or Lubelska. Lubelski hops have a high humulene content, and even more so in farnesene. This oil profile gives interesting aromas of magnolia and lavender. It also has spicy and herbaceous notes quite close to Saaz.

The Lubelski hops is considered to have a very noble character. It is often used in Polish breweries. Its aromatic profile makes it quite versatile, it can be used in Czech Pilsners as well as in German Lagers.
