Grizzly Grain Crusher

Inexpensive malt mill, ideal as a first model.

Why buy an inexpensive malt mill ?

When you're considering a low-cost, affordable malt mill, don't worry that it will compromise the quality of your grind. On the contrary, there are affordable options that will give you equally satisfying results. Here's why:

  1. Precise adjustment: The secret is in the adjustment. Take the time to fine-tune your grinder to the desired fineness of grind. This ensures optimum extraction of sugars and enzymes during brewing. Make sure you turn the crank evenly and at a moderate speed (generally between 200 and 400 rpm). If you take this time, the quality of your grind will be guaranteed!
  2. Optional motorization: If you're thinking of motorizing your mill, consider a screwdriver with adjustable speed. This will make it easier to crush the malt and obtain a homogeneous grind.

How to use the Grizlly ECO Malt Mill :

There are several possible uses. You can attach the malt mill to a wooden board slightly wider than a 30-liter fermentation bucket, and position it on the bucket. Do a few tests to make sure the grind is right for you, and adjust the settings. Once that's done, grind and collect your malt!

You can also attach the mill to a table and place a wide tray just below it to collect the malt, following the same process as described above.

If you choose to use a drill, don't overdo it - think of it as an aid to save your arms, not to save time. If you go too fast, you run the risk of damaging the mill, which is very solid and resistant to manual force. If you don't go too fast, your grind will be of excellent quality.

All in all, this inexpensive malt mill is an economical choice that doesn't sacrifice quality. Enjoy efficient crushing without breaking your budget 🍻
