This hop variety was developed by Oregon State University (USA) in 1956 from Russian varieties (Fuggle and Serebrianker). Cascade gives the beer a typical American taste as well as citrus and fruit aromas. These particular flavors are unique, due to a high level of essential oils. Very floral and spicy, lemon and grapefruit notes. Provides a very mild bitterness even when used in large quantities.
