Mosaic Hops:

The Mosaic hop is a versatile hop that comes from the United States. It was developed in 2012 by the Hop Breeding Company. It is a hybrid between Nugget and Simcoe hops. When it was launched, brewers humorously nicknamed it “Citra on steroids”.

The Mosaic hop imparts a moderate bitterness. It has a high alpha acid content but a low proportion of cohumulone. This characteristic gives the beer pleasant hoppy aromas. It will reveal distinct scents of mango, pine, and citrus with floral and herbal touches. In Dry Hop, Mosaic hops will mainly bring notes of exotic fruits, citrus, berries, and a hint of resin.

It is frequently used for American-style beers, such as IPAs (in all their forms), pale ales, or tropical stouts. It can also adapt to European-style beers, such as hoppy lagers and saisons.
