Description
A bittering hop with a pleasant aroma and fruity character. A cross between the American Galena and a German male variety, Magnum was introduced to the brewing world in 1980 and has since been recognized as the most suitable for pale ales and lagers where a clean bitterness is desired.
Used primarily as a base bittering hop, it is said to produce a clean, crisp bitterness and subtle citrus flavors.
