Sorachi Ace Hops:

sorachi ace hops

The Sorachi Ace hops are a dual-purpose hop variety originating from Japan. They were created in 1984 by the Sapporo Breweries company. They are the result of a cross between the Brewer's Gold, Saaz and BeiKei N.2 hops.

The Sorachi Ace hops provide a moderate bitterness and unique aromas, citrusy, herbal, spicy and slightly woody. Used in Dry Hop they will mainly bring notes of lemongrass, lime, coriander, but also dill and coconut.

They will perfectly suit light beers such as lagers or, why not, saisons. They will express themselves even more on more hoppy and sour beer styles, such as IPAs, pale ales and sour ales.
