East Kent Goldings hops are considered the quintessential English hops. Primarily grown in Kent, England, and derived from Canterbury Whitebine, it is an ancient variety dating back to 1790. It is sometimes called Kent Golding or Canterbury Golding, but it is the same hop.
East Kent Goldings hops are aromatic hops. They provide a soft and delicate bitterness, as well as floral, lavender, honey, earthy, lemon, and thyme aromas. These hops are highly appreciated for English ales and pale ales.
