FERMOPLUS® AromaGlow utilizes thiol-rich precursors derived from grape skin tannins to significantly enhance the aromatic and flavor characteristics of beer by leveraging the metabolic pathways of certain yeast strains.

COMPOSITION: Grape skin tannins, yeast cell walls, yeast autolysates, L-ascorbic acid.

FERMOPLUS® AromaGlow provides approximately 20 mg/l of FAN (Free Amino Nitrogen) at a dosage of 40 g/hl.

Advantages of use:


  • - FERMOPLUS® AromaGlow enhances the capacity of yeast strains expressing the IRC-7 gene to generate active aromatic compounds (via biotransformation and the Ehrlich pathway), thus accentuating the tropical, citrus, and floral characteristics of hopped beers.

  • - The presence of grape skin tannins and yeast derivatives naturally rich in specific amino acids and glutathione enhances aroma stability by reducing aldehydes, ketones, and lactones, compounds associated with beer oxidation and aging.

  • - FERMOPLUS® AromaGlow effectively, naturally, and sustainably enriches the aromatic and flavor profile of beer, reducing the need to use large quantities of thiol-rich hop varieties.

Dosage and use:

Typical dosage: 40 g/hl of cold wort/beer.

It is recommended to add 20 g/hl of FERMOPLUS® AromaGlow directly into the cold wort, and an additional 20 g/hl during dry hopping or racking of the beer (at 2°P or ~8 points of SG above the target final gravity).

No rehydration is required.

It is preferable to use brewing yeasts expressing the IRC-7 gene, which allows unlocking and releasing the thiol precursors present in FERMOPLUS® AromaGlow.
