Instructions for "Desana" Products
No matter which product you use, the process will be exactly the same.
We recommend wearing gloves while handling.
Dosage: 1 sachet of 45g for 4.5L of water.
Step 1: Pre-Rinse
Before starting the cleaning, thoroughly rinse your system: cleaning keg (sodakeg, special keg or oxebar), line, taps...
Step 2: Dissolve the "Desana" and Take a Sample
Pour the "Desana" sachet into your cleaning keg and fill it with 4.5L of lukewarm water (ideally at 35°C). The filling jet should be sufficient to dissolve the detergent. If necessary, you can double the dose of "Desana" and water.
Close the keg and shake it vigorously 3 times. Then, take a small sample of the solution which should be pink. This will serve as a color reference to indicate whether the cleaning is complete or needs to be extended.
Step 3: Fill the Line
Clean and rinse your dispensing head (or the connectors you use to connect the keg to the tap) beforehand. Connect your cleaning keg to the CO2 and the tap, turn it on, and open the taps.
Once the cleaning solution comes out of the tap, close it and let the "Desana" act for 20 minutes.
The liquid will be yellow if your line is very dirty or green if it is slightly dirty.
Step 4: Disinfect the Dispensing Head or Connectors
While the "Desana" works in the lines, disconnect your CO2, depressurize the cleaning keg and open it. Submerge your dispensing head or connectors in the solution and wait 20 minutes.
Step 5: Open the Tap and Check the Color of the Solution
Reconnect the cleaning keg to the dispensing head and the CO2 again. Open the tap to let the solution flow. If it turns green or remains green, then close the tap and let it act for 3 more minutes.
Repeat the process until the solution turns purple (like your reference sample).
Once this is done, let the "Desana" flow until the keg is empty.
Step 6: Rinse
Disconnect your cleaning keg and rinse it thoroughly. To check if it is well rinsed, you can do a pH test with a strip. The pH should be equal to that of tap water.
Once the keg is rinsed, fill it and reconnect it to the tap.
Open the tap and let it flow until the keg is empty. For the last few centiliters, you can do a pH test to check that the water coming out of your line has a pH equal to that of tap water.
Attention: The date mentioned on the Desana packages corresponds to the production date. The product is valid for up to 2 years after this date.
