Weyermann® Pale Ale Malt

Pale Ale malt, like Pilsner, is THE basic malt par excellence. Its degree of boiling, a little more advanced than that of pilsner, gives it cereal-like bread aromas with hints of dried fruit and honey.

Pale ale's low degree of boiling preserves all enzymes, so the conversion of starch to sugar during mashing is ideal for yeast. What's more, its protein content will give the beer a nice head.

This relatively neutral malt is one of the most versatile. It's perfect as a single malt in a pale ale, or as the base for a porter, for example.

The husks present on the grain also make it a perfect asset for must filtration.
