Malt Crisp Low Colour Chocolate

Discover a new shade of black with Low Colour chocolate, so called because of the flavor it produces in the final beer. This typically English malt brings delicate chocolate aromas and a taste similar to that of a mellow, cold-brewed coffee. Its lower boiling point than that of most roasted malts will also give the low color beautiful notes of hazelnut and cookie.

It gives the beer a deep brown color with coppery highlights. What's more, it will be less astringent than most roasted malts, thanks to its degree of boiling.

Used in combination with other roasted malts, it will perfectly complete the aromatic palette and complexify the malt profile of your black beer.

It is also ideal as the only dark malt in a dark brown ale, for example, where the choco/nutty character is more sought-after than the deep roast.
