AHTANUM 50g Yakima Chief Hops:

Ahtanum hops is an aromatic variety developed by Yakima Chief Ranches. Although its lineage remains unknown, it was open‑pollinated.

Thanks to its organoleptic composition, it reveals its full potential in dry hopping after fermentation. It offers delicious grapefruit flavours, floral geranium notes, resinous accents, and a very subtle earthy touch.

This hop stands out for its exceptionally high beta‑acid content, which helps preserve the beer’s overall bitterness and maintain a harmonious flavour balance over the medium and long term. In West Coast IPAs where strong bitterness is desired, it is a structural ally of choice (in addition to its remarkable aromas). It can also bring a fascinating aromatic and structural kick to a modern Bitter.

Ahtanum is particularly appreciated in American‑style beers such as IPAs, Pale Ales, and Lagers.

The 50g format is perfect for small batches or for adding complexity to your beers with small hop additions.
